Ojo de Agua/Camino Justicia

These photographs of the water dispensary on Camino Justicia, located across the county jail on highway 14, interrupt the romanticized image of the southwest landscape. They are part of a counter narrative to life in the desert where among the beauty and “magic” there is a shortage of water and other resources. This water dispensary was installed in 2010 and provides 24 hour water access to residents.
